About Report Wizard

Use the Raven Tools Report Wizard to create custom PDF reports of your Internet marketing campaign data. Reports can be branded using a custom Brand Template, and they can be scheduled to run automatically. Just about every tool in the system can be reported on, and you can report on as much or as little information as you'd like.

How to use the Report Wizard

    1. Go to Reports > Wizard.

    2. Click the New Report button to start compiling your report.
    3. If you would like to choose a Report Template select a template the drop-down menu. Once you have made your selection click the Use Template button. Otherwise, you can can start adding modules to your new report.

    4. Click the New Scheduled Report button if you want to schedule this report to run automatically. Select the frequency, the day of the month you want the report to go out and the default date range for the data in the report. Once you have added your reporting module click the Edit Report button. A module window will display. Open the Email Settings tab if you want Raven to automatically email the scheduled report. Add email addresses and any messages. You can email a scheduled report to up to 10 email addresses.

    5. Choose to send scheduled reports as a Trackable Download Links or PDF Attachment: If you are are having scheduled reports emailed, in the Deliverable menu you can choose to have the report emailed as a Trackable Download Link or PDF Attachment.

    6. Note: You can do the following to see details of a Trackable Download Link:
      1. Go to Reports > Report Wizard.
      2. Click the gear icon next to your report and select History. Show scheduled report history above your scheduled reports.
      3. Click  Detail from the gear drop-down menu. Or the number displayed in the Downloads column.
      4. If any Trackable Download Links have been clicked you will see the date, user and IP for each click. Otherwise you'll see a No activity available for this report message.

7.  Select a Date Range if you do not want to schedule the report to run automatically. Each item that you add to the report will default to the date range you specify in this field. You will be able to edit the date range for each report item.

2. Build a report with modules

After you have created a report in the last step, you will build the components of your report in this step. Your report can be as comprehensive as you want, with details on your complete Internet marketing campaign, or it can be a simple as a report from one or two tools. Either way, you build a report by add modules of information.

The Report Options menu contains all of the possible modules that can be added to a report. To add an item, click on the section and then click on a module. When you click on an module, it is added it to the Report Order list on the right. The order of the modules in the Report Order list is the order they will show up in your report. Drag and drop any module to re-order them.

All modules can be added to the Report Order multiple times (with different datasets or date ranges, for example), with the only exceptions being the cover page and the table of contents.

You can Preview, Edit and Remove each module. All modules need to be told what to report, so make sure to click Edit and check that all available options have been selected.

Click Run Report to create a PDF report now, or go back to the Report Wizard to create the PDF report later. The system will automatically save your report.

3. View or edit a Scheduled or Recent Report

After you have created one or more reports, the Report Wizard shows Scheduled and Recent Reports in a list.

Go to Reports > Wizard. For a scheduled report, you can preview the upcoming report, view the history and edit, templatize or delete it. For recent non-scheduled reports, you can edit and run reports that were saved but not run, download reports that were created, as well as templatize, copy or delete them.

What time of day do scheduled reports go out? All scheduled reports are delivered by the end of the day according to US Eastern Time. Although, depending on volume and other factors, you could see reports as early as the afternoon or morning (ET). Read More
