When researching keywords in Research Central, the first page you see is the Summary section. This section displays metrics about your keyword or keyword phrase, sourced from Google and Majestic.
You can add individual metrics by clicking the gear icon next to the Statistics header and clicking the metric that you would like to add. You are also able to remove metrics by hovering over the metric and clicking the X that appears in the corner.
Keyword Info
The following metrics are available in the Keyword Info section of the Summary tab:
- Google Local Trend: A visual interpretation of the way that the keyword has trended locally.
- Google Global Trend: A visual interpretation of the way that the keyword has trended globally.
- Local Average Volume: An average monthly search volume based on the location set in Campaign Settings.
- Global Average Volume: An average monthly search volume based on all languages and regions.
- Local Competition: An estimate of how many advertisers are bidding on the keywords locally, on a 0 to 1 scale.
- Global Competition: An estimate of how many advertisers are bidding on the keywords globally, on a 0 to 1 scale.
- Search Volume (Majestic): An indication of the amount of search traffic the keyword is driving, based on data from Majestic.
- In Title (URL/Domain): The number of URLs or Domains that can be found in Majestic's Historic Index with the keyword phrase in their title.
- In URL (URL/Domain): The number of URLs or Domains that can be found in Majestic's Historic Index with the keyword phrase in their URL.
- In Anchor (URL/Domain): The number of URLs or Domains that can be found in Majestic's Historic Index with the keyword phrase in their backlink anchor text.
- In Anchor & Title (URL/Domain): The number of URLs or Domains that can be found in Majestic's Historic Index with the keyword phrase in their backlink anchor text and titles.
Google Trends
Below the Statistics table is a chart containing trending data on a graph. The Google Trends graph breaks down data month-by-month, allowing users to see change over time for the keyword's popularity based on search volume.
By default, this shows data for Google Local Trends. If you would prefer to show Google Global Trends, click the gear icon at the top of this section and choose the Google Global Trends instead of the Google Local Trends.
