By default, Site Auditor will crawl your website monthly, from the point you initiate your first crawl forward. If you'd prefer, you can have Site Auditor crawl your website on a weekly schedule or, alternatively, only when manually requested.
Here's how you can change Site Auditor's crawl frequency:
- From within Site Auditor, click the Tool Options button and select Settings.
- In this setting page, click the dropdown menu under Crawl Frequency. In this menu you can select Monthly, Weekly or Manual Crawls. Choose an option.
- Click the Save button to save your settings.
If you've changed your crawl frequency to Manual Crawls, a Run Crawl button will appear on the Summary section of Site Auditor. Click this button to queue your website for crawling.
Set your next scheduled crawl
Once you've set your Crawl Frequency to either weekly or monthly, you'll be given the option of choosing when your next crawl will occur. This date will be used as the key for future crawls, setting your schedule unless changed.
For example, let's say that you've set your Next Scheduled Crawl setting to Tuesday, November 10, 2015. This means that for weekly crawls, Site Auditor will run your websites each Tuesday unless told otherwise. For monthly crawls, this would mean that your campaign will be crawled on the 10th of each month.
