Raven integrates nearly two dozen data sources into WYSIWYG Reports, but sometimes you need to bring in information from another tool. Maybe you collect data on call tracking or lead generation that isn't supported in Raven itself, but is still important for your clients.

Using the Data Import widget, you can import any CSV file into WYSIWYG Reports and visualize that data in seconds.

How to import data into reports

  1. Navigate to Reports > WYSIWYG Reports and either create a new report or start editing an existing one.
  2. Click the Add Section button and choose the Data Import option on the left.
  3. Import your CSV file of data and click the Submit button.
  4. After your data has processed, click the Table button and make any changes to maximum results, columns, widget title or section.
  5. Click the Save button.

WYSIWYG Reports will automatically take the headers from CSV and display each column of data as a table. No need to create your own table through HTML or embed a screenshot — WYSIWYG Reports does all of the heavy-lifting for you.

Are there any limitations?

Yes. CSV files must be less than 2MB in size and contain no more than 10 columns and 2,000 rows. Need to show more data? Try breaking up your CSV into multiple parts! You can upload as many CSVs into one report as you'd like.

Can I display this data as a chart, graph or KPI?

Currently, the Data Import widget can only create tables from CSVs. We're working on expanding this out to support KPIs, Line Graphs, Bar Graphs and Pie Charts as well, but there is no firm ETA on when those will be added.

How long will my imported data stay in Raven?

Indefinitely! Raven will hold onto your data until the widget is deleted from your report.

Can I import data into Report Wizard?

The data import tool is only available in WYSIWYG Reports at this time.
